How To Find Your One True Love

find your one true love

Unless Cupid is required to work three shifts in a day, 366 days in a year without time off and coffee breaks, it may be hard for you to find your one true love with over seven billion prospects living in the world. So help Cupid with his tasks by ย working on these simple steps.

Find Yourself First

How could someone else find you when you can’t even find yourself? Makes sense? So know your goals, your dreams, your ideals. Get acquainted with yourself and listen to your inner voice. Find out those things that you really want to do, things that will make you happy. Once you understand your heart’s desires, you will be able to sort what you want from what you don’t want in a relationship, and eventually take charge as to how it should go.

Be The Person You Love

Now that you have a floor-length list of characters your future partner must have, your next question should be, “Will he like me too?” If you doubt it, then maybe it’s time to level up. And don’t grow for that person, grow for yourself. Remember that ย we can only attract those people who are like us. So, if you want to have a loyal partner, be loyal first. If you want to be loved unconditionally, give love first without expecting something in return. If you want to find your one true love, be true first.

Be Passionate

People are always drawn to people who are passionate about the things they love. This passion glows and will let people see what you see, believe in what you believe in, love what you love, and think like how you think.

Be Happy

Never rely your happiness on someone else. Your own happiness should come from within yourself. People don’t want to be dragged down by negativity. So wear that genuine smile on your face and be the force that lifts them up.

The love of your life doesn’t have to be found. Love has to be attracted and nurtured. So, love yourself first and be a magnet rather than wait for Cupid to hit someone for you.

It is really hard to comment when the subject is about love- I’m just being honest here. Love can either be subjective or objective. Idealistically speaking, the above tips are valuable but what if suddenly you realized you are in love- we can never really tell when we are ready for love. It hits you like Cupid’s arrow- it is unexpected without prior notice. I can see how people get so lost in love…oh well. (sigh) BUT it is best to at least prepare for it by loving and knowing thyself first.

I am blessed to have found the one early in life. My ex, now my husband is my first and only boyfriend. The Lord saved me the heartaches and breakups and gave me Mr Right during my college years. Currently celebrating our 22nd valentines together. ๐Ÿ˜†

I also did travel with just friends and I find joy in just being all by myself. And the next relationship I have was already with my hubby, and I think I have shown more love kasi nairestart ko yung system ko.. Happy hearts day! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Great tips you have in here. But I think that above all else, to be able to find your one true love, you must then seek Him first. Because the Lord Himself is Love. Happy Heart’s Day to you sis! ๐Ÿ™‚

It’s soo true- love and respect yourself first. True love starts when you start to embrace your imperfections and realize that you are responsible for your own happiness. Know your worth ๐Ÿ™‚

These are all true! You gotta love and respect yourself first and everything will follow.

True. We have to really focus on ourselves first. Be complete first. Find ourselves. Only then can we fully be effective in finding the one. My old friend told me to focus on:
    1.The Master ( God)
    2. The ministry ( passion and work of God)
    3. THE mate will come as he also focuses on God and ministry. ๐Ÿ™‚

Love this post. and as what they say, “women are to be found” ๐Ÿ™‚

I love “BE HAPPY”. I was in college when I learned that my happiness should not be dependent on someone else, that I am complete and happy even on my own and that having someone to love (and who loves me too) only doubles the happiness. So, I know when I lose someone, I may not be “happier” but I can always go back to being “happy”.

I find love overrated, and yes one’s existence can’t be dictated by love for another…

  13. Lariza Garcia

love depends on how you define it
but always remember to love your self first

  14. Mommy Queenelizabeth

Im blessed to have found my forever. And yes i just to agree that you have to love yourself first and be the kind of love you wanted to have..:)

  15. queenofthebangs

As they say, you must love yourself in order to be loved. I believe this coz it’s only when you genuinely love and are comfortable with yourself that you’re able to radiate a positive aura, attracting admiration and affections.

Great tips to all those who haven’t found their one true love. I’m so blessed I have already found mine.

  17. Ma.Me.Mi.Mommy

I agree with loving and finding yourself first. ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s hard to attract love when you’re so confused about yourself. Happy Feb-ibig! ๐Ÿ™‚

I thought I found my one true love early in life but it turns out I was wrong. I agree with everything on your list. It took time for me to find myself. When that happened, that’s when everything fell into place. ๐Ÿ™‚

  19. millette05

I do believe that one attracts his or her true love. And it comes when you least expect it.

  20. May De Jesus-Palacpac

I’m a strong believer that if you want to find Mr or Ms Right, be Mr Right or Ms Right first. ๐Ÿ˜‰

God has plans for all of us, even the person we’ll fall in love with. But the tips you shared will surely make it easier for someone to find his/her true love.

  22. Mhaan (@momyrockinstyle)

I totally agree that we shouldn’t depend our happiness to others and self-love is a must before getting into a relationship I will let my “single” friends to read your post for inspiration. Thanks for sharing!

  23. jem alvarado

Yup! Love yourself first. Some people say that we make our destiny so when you think the right person arrives, you have to do something for her/him.

  24. mumwrites (@vixquips)

These are great tips on finding true love. Most people forget about loving one’s self and improving one’s self before searching for their true love. I also believe that true love will find you when you least expect it. Not when you think you are ready, but when HE thinks you are. I do not know, I guess it is the romantic in me! ^_^

  25. Cris Evert Lato-Ruffolo

I was engaged to another man before. It was a relationship that I worked so hard for because to me it was ideal. I wanted it to work so badly that I bended a lot of my non-negotiables. The relationship ended five months into the engagement. Took me two years to recover before I started dating again. In those two years, I worked on myself… all aspects. I didn’t even go active searching for dates. My husband “arrived” at a time when I was ready to love again. I am of the belief that when you’re ready to be in a relationship, the Higher Power wields the mighty wand and attracts the person you are meant to be with to your direction. ๐Ÿ™‚

I agree we need to love our self first before we can find or look for our true love. I had experience a lot of heart breaks before I find the perfect one

Say something. Leave a trail.
